دادی اماں کے ہاتھ کا ذائقہ
Slow-cooked from hand-churned makhan of grass-fed desi cows — in small batches, on a low wood fire, with nothing added. Danedar, fragrant and golden, just like the ghee you grew up with.
Hamari Kahani · ہماری کہانی
Every winter morning, before the first azaan, Daadi Amma would sit beside the chulha with her clay matka and wooden madhani. The steady rhythm of that churning was the first sound of the day in our haveli outside Sahiwal.
She never measured anything. She knew the makhan was ready by its sound, and the ghee was done by its smell — that nutty, toasty khushbu that drifted through the whole gali.
Today her grandchildren make it exactly the same way: in small batches, by hand, with the same patience. We simply put it in a jar, so it can reach your kitchen too.
— With love, from Daadi Amma's grandchildren
The Bilona Method · بلونا

دودھ
Our Sahiwal desi cows graze freely on open Punjab pasture and are milked by hand at dawn. No hormones, no shortcuts — just honest, fresh doodh.

دہی
The milk is boiled slowly, cooled, and set into thick dahi overnight in earthen pots — the way it has been done in Punjab for generations.

بلونا
The dahi is churned back and forth with a wooden madhani until soft makhan rises to the top. This is the bilona method — slow, patient and worth it.

مکھن
Just the white butter is lifted out by hand. That's why it takes around 28 litres of milk to make a single kilo of Daadi Amma ghee.

گھی
Hours over a gentle flame until it turns clear, golden and danedar — and the whole kitchen smells like Daadi's house. Then it's strained and sealed by hand.
The Pantry · دکان
Every jar is filled by hand from a single small batch, sealed, and dated. Prices include packaging — Cash on Delivery everywhere in Pakistan.

Why it tastes different
Goodness in every spoon
For generations, a spoon of ghee has been the desi way to make every meal sit lighter and feel more satisfying.
With a high smoke point of around 250°C, ghee stays stable for tadka, frying and crisp, flaky parathas.
Ghee from grass-fed milk naturally carries fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.
A spoon in daal-chawal or khichri — the way Daadis have fed growing children for centuries.
The rich base of every pinni, panjiri and gond ke laddoo that keeps the family warm through December.
Just makhan, slow-cooked. No preservatives, no colours, no vanaspati, no palm oil — ever.

Bilkul waisi khushbu jaisi Nani ke ghar ke ghee ki hoti thi. Parathon ka maza hi badal gaya.
I've tried every “desi” ghee in Karachi. This is the first one that's actually danedar and smells like home.
Ordered the bhains ghee for my mother's winter pinniyan. She asked where I found it — the highest compliment.
Delivery in three days, jar sealed perfectly, and Cash on Delivery made it easy to try. Now we order monthly.
My kids' daal gets a spoon of this every day. The gift box was the best Eid present we gave this year.

Chat on WhatsAppMost ghee is made by boiling machine-separated cream. Bilona ghee is made from whole milk that's first set into dahi, then hand-churned into makhan, then slow-cooked. It takes far more milk and time — and gives a deeper aroma and natural danedar texture.
Cow's milk carries natural beta-carotene from green fodder, which gives the ghee its golden colour. Buffalo milk doesn't, so its ghee is creamy-white — and a little richer and thicker. Both are 100% pure.
Warm a spoonful in a pan: pure ghee melts quickly, turns clear golden-brown and gives off a nutty aroma with no white residue. Rub a little on your palm — it should melt at body temperature. Ours passes both, every batch.
Up to 12 months sealed at room temperature — no fridge needed. Once opened, always use a dry spoon and keep the lid closed. It may solidify in winter and soften in summer; that's completely natural.

Because it takes around 28 litres of milk, an overnight set, a dawn churn and hours over a wood fire to make just one kilo. There's no cheaper way to make it honestly — and we won't pretend there is.
